How do you protect an operating system against unpredictable wind?

And how do you achieve constant ventilation at the same time?

Project example: A wood processing company approached ALPINA because strong winds had repeatedly caused costly damage. Since the strong wind pressure jammed the automatic roller doors, the forklifts collided with the doors, which, of course, caused considerable damage.

The best solution.

After a detailed analysis of the overall situation, the ALPINA team installed a system that has been ensuring constant wind conditions since 2020. The attached nets reduce the wind to a maximum of 2 m/s inside the hall. Stronger winds are deflected upwards, which has already proven itself with the ski jumping facilities. The wind nets are deployed around the entire facility. Since then there has been no more damage to the roller doors caused by wind pressure. The ventilation required for storing wood remains guaranteed, with a maximum of 2m/s.
